Orco Blended Acrylic Glue and water at the job site. Acrylic
Glue improves the bonding, waterproofing and curing properties.
Orco Blended Water Stop is available in natural gray and special
order colors.

Packaging: Orco
Blended Water Stop is available in 60lb paper sacks. Orco Blended
Acrylic Glue is available in 1-gal bottles & 5 gal pails.
Coverage: 60lbs
cover approximately 225 sq. ft per coat - 2 coats required.
Surface Preparation:
All surfaces must be structurally sound, free of oil, dust, efflorescence,
curing compound, or bond inhibitors. Clean surfaces by wire brush
or sand blasting. Chemically remove any efflorescence, grease or
oil. Smooth surfaces should be roughened or etched. Repair all cracks
and holes with Orco Blended Water Stop. A cant should be formed
at the base of all footings and walls with Orco Blended Hydraulic
Cement prior to applying Water Stop. Dampen wall prior to application.
Dense concrete should be wet at least twice. If the product begins
to pull on application, this is an indication that the surface is
not properly wet.
Mixing: Add
one part Orco Blended Acrylic Glue to three parts water and mix
thoroughly (1/2 gal Acrylic Glue to 1-1/2 gal water per 60lb bag
will produce a pancake batter consistency). Add the mixing liquid
to Water Stop and mix to smooth consistency. Do not use a high-speed
drill. Allow coating to sit for 15 minutes and remix without adding
water. For trowel applications the mixing liquid should be approximately
1-1/2 gallons per 60lb bag. For surfaces exposed to difficult conditions,
(sewers, dense concrete, pools), the ration of Acrylic Glue to water
should be increased to 1:1.
Placing: Apply
the first coat on Water Stop with a fiber brush, scrubbing well
into the damp wall, filling all pores. Always keep a wet edge. Allow
first coat to cure for 12 hours before applying second coat. The
second coat should be laid on the surface. Do not allow first coat
to become contaminated prior to application of second coat. For
thicker trowel applications, apply first coat by brush and second
coat by trowel at a maximum thickness of 1/8".
Curing: when
surface becomes hard, fog spray with clean water. Keep surface damp
for three days. Proper curing is essential in extremely hot or windy
conditions.
Limitations:
Do not apply when temperature is below or expected to fall below
40 deg F prior to cure. Substrate must be sound. Orco Blended Water
Stop is not designed to seal crack which develop after application.
