Product
Description: Orco Blended Pump Aid is a powder admixture
for concrete used in grouting of concrete block and clay brick.
Orco Blended Pump Aid will provide slight expansion, retarding
and water reducing properties to the grout. The product improves
the performance and the placement of the grout. Concrete with
Orco Blended Pump Aid will have a water reduction of 10-15%,
8-10% higher compressive strengths and more than two times
the shear bond strength. It contains no chlorides or other
chemicals, which contribute to corrosion of reinforcing steel.
Special mix designs available to meet individual job requirements.
Uses: Grouting
of Concrete Block and Clay Brick. |
Advantages:
- Higher slumps with greater flow
- Higher bond and compressive strength
- Lower water cement ratios
- Slight expansion
- Increased water retention
- Non-Corrosive
- Improved pumping properties
Packaging: Orco
Blended Pump Aid is available in 42 # multi wall bags.
Technical Data: Grout
mix design should be a minimum of six sacks on cement, 70% washed
concrete sand and 30% 3/8" aggregate per cubic yard. Grout
ingredients will conform to U.B.C. 24 and A.S.T.M. standards.
Orco Blended Pump Aid is added at the rate of 1% of the total cement
content.
Application:
Orco Blended Pump Aid is added to the ready mix truck at the job
site or it can be pre-blended dry with Orco Blended 70/30 Masonry
Grout Concrete Mix. Grout should be ordered from the ready mix plant
at a 5-6" slump. Orco Blended Pump Aid will increase the slump
2-4" without any additional water. A slump of 8-10" should
be maintained. Batches should be placed within one hour so that
as much of the expansion action occurs after the grout is placed.
Add slowly for proper mixing. All hose fittings on a grout pump
should be watertight to prevent clogging.
Limitations:
Grout must be placed within 1-1/2 hours after addition of Orco Blended
Pump Aid. Consult an Orco Blended Rep for uses other than grout
for masonry units.
