Orco Blended Products Mini Brick & Paver Grout is a pre-blended
mix of Type II/V cement, special chemicals, pumping aids and

of pavers having joint of 5/16" or larger. Thin Brick
& Pave Grout may be mixed with only water; however, adding
Acrylic Fortifier greatly improves performance. Acrylic Fortifier
improves bond and flexural strength, color retention, water
resistance, impact resistance and freeze thaw stability. Available
in natural gray and special colors. |
Uses:
- Grouting the joints of:
- Mini Brick, Brick Pavers
- Marble, Stone, Tile
- Terra Cotta, Mexican Pavers
Advantages:
- Quality Control
- Color Consistency
- Easily Pumped or Bagged
- Mildew Resistant
Packaging: Available
in 60lb sacks. Orco Blended Products Acrylic Fortifier is available
in 1 and 5gal bottles.
Surface Preparation:
Installation procedures outlined in ANSI 108.10 should be followed.
Mortar beds should be properly cured prior to grouting. Mortar beds
that are excessively wet may produce efflorescence. The use of a
grout release may be necessary. Dampen the surface of the joint
and brick just prior to application. All surfaces should be clean
and free of any dust, oil or bond inhibitors.
Mixing: Use
the same procedure throughout the job uniform results. Add approximately
60 lbs of grout to one gallon of liquid. Mix thoroughly and allow
to slake for 15 minutes, and then remix without additional liquid.
Do not retemper.
Placing: Application
should be done in the cool part of the day to avoid rapid water
evaporation. Fill joints with grout using a pump, grout bag, or
rubber float. Compact with a rubber float or jointing tool. The
least amount of grout left on the face of the veneer at this time
will make final clean up easier. Upon grout achieving initial set,
clean the surface with a cheesecloth, sponge, or nylon pad. Care
should be taken to prevent joints from drying out to quickly during
the first 72 hours. Cleaning by acid solution may cause discoloration
and should be done on a trial basis.
Technical Data:
Mini Brick & Paver Grout meets the requirements of ANSI 118.6-1985.
Limitations: Avoid application
in extreme weather conditions, hot or cold. Do not apply when temperatures
are below or expected to fall below 40 deg. F. Do not apply to frozen
and unstable substrates. Do not use in areas exposed to high acid
content. The potential for efflorescence is present when using Portland
cement based products and is not considered a manufacturing defect.
