Product Description:
Orco Blended Products Mini Brick & Paver Mortar is a blend
of Type II/V cement and fine sand (1:1). The mortar is part
of a 2-componant system using Orco Blended Products Latex
Glue as the mixing liquid. The system is designed specifically
as the setting mortar for the installation of Mini brick,
similar veneers and pavers. Masonry concrete and Portland
cement mortar beds are acceptable substrates. Combining Mini
Brick Mortar and Orco Blended Latex Glue provide excellent
bond and flexural strengths as well as impact and freeze thaw
resistance. This system is the optimum bonding mortar for
bonding exterior veneers due to the extreme conditions they
are exposed to. |
Uses:
- Mini Brick
- Brick Pavers
- Marble
- Stone
- Limestone
Advantages:
- Quality Control - a consistent batch every
time
- Convenience of handling and transporting one
product
- High bond, tensile and flexural strength
- Impact and water resistant
- Good freeze thaw stability
Packaging: Mini
Brick & Paver Mortar is available in 60lb Bags. Orco Blended
Product Latex Glue is available in 5 gallon Pails.
Application:
Apply only to a sound, clean surface, free of dust, oil or any bond
inhibitors. Detailed installation instructions may be found in ANSI
108.5. Add Mini Brick Mortar to OBP Latex Glue (approximately 1-1/2
gallons per 60 lb bag) and mix to a heavy paste consistency. Mix
by hand, low RPM drill or paddle type mixer. Over mixing with drill
or paddle will cause air entrapment. Allow mortar to slake for 15
minutes, and then remix without additional liquid. Apply mortar
to the substrate with the flat side of trowel to Key-in, and then
apply additional mortar with a notched trowel. Back Butter veneer
and set with a slight twist. Veneer should be tapped in to place
to obtain good coverage. Replace mortar that becomes too dry or
skimmed over with fresh mortar. Allow to cure 24 hours prior to
grouting. Expansion joints must never be bridged with setting material.
Use water for cleanup.
Technical Data:
Mini Brick & Paver Mortar mixed with Orco Blended Products Latex
Glue meets requirements of ANSI 118.4 latex Portland Cement Mortar.
Limitations:
Do not apply to frozen or unsound substrates. Do not apply when
temperature may fall below 40 degrees F. Mini Brick Mortar should
not be applied over asphalt sheeting, vinyl covered wallboard, metal,
glass, plastic or gypsum mortar beds. Do not use with green marble.
