| Product Description:
Acrylic Glue is a high solids, acrylic
latex polymer formulated for use with Portland cement mortars. Acrylic
Glue is non-remulsifiable and modified to provide superior bonding
properties. Modified mortars have a better flexural strength, durability,
and adhesion, less water absorption, color retention, and curing
properties. Acrylic Glue is water based for easy clean up and use.
Uses:
A polymer additive for Portland
Cement Mortars and concrete for: Concrete
Patching
- Stucco
- Concrete Coatings
- Bonding Primer
- Terrazzo - Topping
- Tile Mortars and Grouts
- Structural Grouts and Concrete
Advantages:
- High Solids
- Improved Bonding Properties
- Improved Flexural Strength
- Versatile
- Water Based
- Improved Color Retention
- Improved Durability
- Self Curing System
Technical Data:
Acrylic Glue is a high solids modified acrylic polymer. It contains
chemicals to protect against bacteria, fungus and excessive air
entrapment. Added to specific OBP Mortars the product meets A.S.T.M.
and A.N.S.I. specifications (see individual mortar literature.
Application:
Preparation: Remove all dirt, oil, grease or other bond inhibitors
by mechanical methods. Roughen smooth concrete surfaces. Surrounding
area must be saturated with water prior to application and all excess
water removed.
Mixing: Acrylic
Glue may be used as all or part of the mixing liquid for most mortars.
Clean potable water may be added to the mortar to achieve a good
working consistency. Do not overwater. Tests have proven the optimum
level on a cost to benefit relation of polymer to cement content
is approximately 15% by weight. Acrylic Glue is water based and
should not be used in freezing conditions or when rain is expected
prior to cure. Curing time will be extended due to the self-curing
properties of the polymer. Clean tools and surrounding areas with
water prior to set up.
Limitations:
Do not apply in weather which is below or expected to fall below
40 deg F. Proper substrate preparation is important. Protect from
freezing. Do not use when rain is expected prior to cure. Check
for compatibility with substrate and mortar. Protect from excessive
sunlight and heat.
Warranty: The
technical information and usage statements are based on our best
